New Committee Members needed - this means you - please!

SECRETARY. (Position Vacant)

The duties of the secretary shall include;

1.        Convening all meetings of the association;

2.        Taking minutes of the meetings of the association, and maintaining a minute's book;

3.        Maintaining a register of members of the association;

4.        Receiving all inwards correspondence and writing all outwards correspondence;

5.        Preparing agendas for all meetings of the association;

6.        Organising  the general affairs or the association;

Other duties as assigned by the management committee.


TEAM MANAGERS. (New parent for next season)

Team managers shall be appointed by the management committee for track and field, road walking and cross country.

The duties of team managers shall be

1.        To receive registrations and association fees from athletes and officials, and to pass registration forms and money to the association registrar

2.        To supervise the conduct of association athletes at competitions

3.        To organise such teams, in the order of age groups, best times and/or distances, or as the management committee may from time to time select to represent the association in various competitions

4.        To sell association uniforms and other items to members

5.        To ensure association athletes compete in the uniform of the association

6.        To compile reports of competition events for the association's news media

The management committee shall have the power to replace any manager so appointed, for any reason.


TROPHY OFFICER (New parent for next season)

The management committee shall appoint a trophy officer annually.

The duties of the trophy officer shall be

1.        To record the points scored by members in association competitions

2.        To submit to the management committee a list of award winners for approval

3.        To purchase trophies, medallions etc as necessary, with the prior approval of the management committee;

4.        To supervise the perpetual trophies of the association.

The management committee shall have the power to replace any trophy officer so appointed for any reason.


UNIFORM CONVENOR (New parent for next season)

The management committee shall appoint a uniform officer annually.

The duties of the uniform convenor shall be

1.        Check stock of uniforms:

Crop tops $25 ea

Crop Bottoms $21 ea

Athletic Singlets $25 ea

2.        regularily and order from our supplier if needed

3.        Pass on invoice to Treasurer to be paid.

4.        Attend first cross country meet each season to sell uniforms.  Also be available to come to training during athletics season to sell uniforms as needed.
