AGM - The TEES AGM and prizegiving will be held at our clubrooms (Stanley Rd) on Monday 25th March at 6pm. Please RSVP to admin@thompsonestateathletics.
com.au. Pizza and drink will be supplied. TEES is keen to get new people onto the committee. We will email out a description of all positions needing to be filled. If you have any energy for improving our athletics club let us know!
Training has resumed for the year. This free to members and $5. for non-members. The first 2 sessions are free. This could be your year to act on your New Year's resolution to get fit. Take advantage of the training offered in a friendly supportive group.

Queensland Athletics' Regional Cup - the first of these two competitions was held on the 19th January. TEES provided several athletes to compete for our district, Brisbane South, and they all provided valuable points to help our district win the trophy! (Click here for link on QA website) Well done guys. The next Regional Cup meet is on March 2nd. Check the QA calendar for the events on that day. QA Events - QA track events are held most weekends for members to compete at. Check calendar for details of what's on. The QA Junior Championships will be held on the 22nd to the 24th February. You can nominate for these events online.
Queensland Athletics Getting in the Game Membership - Get Started is part of the Queensland Government’s Get in the Game funding. Eligible athletes can apply for a voucher of up to $150 to join a sporting club or organisation. To be eligible, athletes must be between 5 and 18 years of age and either their parent, guardian or carer holds a Centrelink Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card and are residents of Queensland or the athlete has been identified as requiring financial assistance. Referral agents can include school teachers, principals and guidance/career counsellors. Queensland Athletics Staff can the referral agents for Athletes that may need assistance that do not fall under the direct criteria. (See attached documents for details).
BBQ - TEES is holding a fundraising BBQ on March 9th at Bunnings. As well as providing equipment for our club. the money raised can help athletes compete at National events held away from Brisbane. To qualify for this assistance, athletes, or members of their family are expected to help at one of these fundraising events, or to help at TEES runs. Applications for this financial help can be found on our website.
Cross Country - this year, TEES is hosting 2 runs at Minnippi parklands. One on the 6th April, the 2nd on July 13th. We will be wanting volunteers to help act as marshalls, take entries and to help on the BBQ.
