Michael Criticos did a big PB in the Discus coming 3rd, and in the U20 mens javelin he was 2nd. If you would like to become a committee member, a nomination form is attached to the newsletter. It would be lovely to have new people on the committee, there are monthly meetings, but you do not have to attend every month.
MINNIIPPI CROSS COUNTRY MEET
This is our annual club cross country meet and will be held on April 12th. Details are on our websitehere. We will need volunteers to help with marshaling, timekeeping, BBQ and taking nominations. Please let us know if you can help. If you volunteer at 1 or 2 fundraising events you may be eligible for financial assistance if you have to travel away for a State or National event. Details about the meet are on our website and on the QA website. You can enter online beforehand on our webpage here, but have to pay on the day. This is a club fundraising event, not a QA event, so there is no free entry to Platinum and Gold Class members. However QA and TEES members do get a reduction.
To the members that came along last Sunday to help clean and reorganise the clubhouse. It looks great and your efforts were appreciated. It was a hot day, but everyone kept in good spirits.
On Saturday, April 6th, Queensland Athletics will be hosting their annual Cross country relays. This is a fun afternoon, and if you would like to take part in this event please email admin@thompsonestateathletics. The club pays for the entry fee for this event.
